I bet you wish you felt like this…in the midst of celebrating your website launch?
But instead of blowing lovely gold stars into the air you are sitting hunched over your computer with your head in your hands wondering if you will EVER feel ready to launch…
Don’t worry, this is so common, especially if you are building your site yourself. There are just so many things to learn on the tech side, and that’s before you’ve even started on figuring out exactly what you need to say or find images that you love.
Let’s face it, building a website can be a lonely process if you don’t have the support of a coach and group of like-minded heart-centred solopreneurs with whom to share the journey…
Top 3 beliefs to change to get your website launched
- Good enough, is good enough – yes, I know it’s hard (I’m a total perfectionist myself) but perfectionism is the no. 1 reason we never finish anything.
- Your website is a work in progress – phew, what a relief! You can (and WILL) change your website as your business develops. Another way of looking at this is that your website will probably never be a truly “finished” product.
- Get help, you don’t need to struggle on your own – we all need a helping hand from time to time in our business (and life). It’s hard trying to motivate yourself without any support, be it the techie side or having a blueprint that maps out everything you will need to build a site that is not only beautiful but works for your business, attracting and keeping your perfect people.
Bonus Tip: Accountability is a massive part of getting anything done. We are much more likely to finish a project if we have told someone else we will (and given them our deadline!)
